In 2021 the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) decided to rename the RCIA process to OCIA which stands for Order of Christian Initiation for Adults.  This is a process of conversion and initiation into the Catholic Community.  Those interested in learning about Catholicism come together to learn about the scriptures and the teachings of the Church.  The process is grounded in each individual's personal faith journey.  It is formed as an extended period of prayer, study, and fellowship so that each individual has the opportunity to grow in relationship with God and parish community.  

OCIA is for:

• Adults who have never been baptized and wish to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist (Holy Communion) in the Catholic Church.
• Persons who were baptized in another Christian denomination and wish to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church by receiving the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
• Baptized Catholics who have not completed their initiation and need to receive either the Sacrament of Eucharist or both the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
  
  The Church desires to help each individual that comes to us hear the voice of God more clearly in their heart.  Jesus said in the Gospel of John 10:10: "I have come that they might have life and have it to the full."  God wants everyone to know the happiness he desires for them, and we are happy to journey with you to experience this in your life.
